ABBI

The Audio Bracelet for Blind Interaction (ABBI) project aims at developing and testing a new rehabilitation approach for visually impaired children. The project is based on a new understanding of neural processes involved in building the sense of space. To that end, we are developing ABBI, a wearable wireless device which provides audio and possibly tactile feedback about the movements of the body.

BLINDPAD

The objective of the project is to make graphical contents accessible through touch by building and field-testing a Personal Assistive Device for BLIND and visually impaired people (BLINDPAD).

CODEFROR

COgnitive DEvelopment for Friendly RObots and Rehabilitation. The objective of the joint exchange project CODEFROR is to investigate aspects of human cognitive development with the double goal of developing robots able to interact with humans in a friendly way and of designing and testing protocols and devices for sensory and motor rehabilitation of disabled children.

FONDATION MOTRICE
We received a grant funded by La Fondation Motrice within the research programme "PACE for CP (Perception - Action - Cognition - Environment for Cerebral Palsy)". Our project aims to improve the recovery of motor disabilities combining the use of multimodal action-related inputs in patients with hemiplegic Cerebral Palsy.

The POETICON++ project uses natural language as a learning tool for the development of novel motor programs and visual experience for robots.
REWIRE
The goal of this project is to develop cost-effective rehabilitation systems that patients can use in their own homes. Our specific contribution is outlined in "Rehabilitative training using haptic devices" and is being conducted in collaboration with the University of Milano.
