Beyond Science. La scienza in uno scatto

The photo exhibition " Beyond Science – La scienza in uno scatto" organized by the Istituto Italiano di Tecnologia (IIT) opened on 6th of December and it will be on until 19 January 2014, at the Loggia degli Abati of Palazzo Ducale in Genoa.

The exhibition is the result of a photographic competition aimed at researchers of the Institute to foster a meditation on the importance of images in science and their role in science communication to non-experts.

The pictures on display show snapshots of the progress of scientific knowledge acquired by researchers at IIT. They describe cutting-edge research in the field of biology, nanotechnology, neuroscience, robotics, material sciences and pharmacology. The initiative is part of a program of dissemination events that IIT is organizing to bring a wider audience closer to the scientific topics.

The exhibition is open from Tuesday to Sunday, from 10 to 19, with free admission. During the first weekend of the exhibition was visited by over 450 people. The exhibition catalogue will be available in the main bookstores in Genoa.
